Dani doing her Breast.

On July 20th, 2018, a few weeks after my 26th birthday, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer.

I want this blog to help spread awareness about Breast Cancer and be used as a resource for others who are going through this journey.

You are all so precious, and beautiful, look after yourselves :)

This blog helps me to process my journey,

Thank you for taking the time to read.

Please get in contact if you have any questions, I would love to hear from you :)

Lots of love, Dani xx

My Cancer Diagnosis

Multifocal HER2+ right breast cancer,  ER+ / PR-, clinical stage T1c, pN1a (1/4 sentinel nodes involved), Mx.

Multifocal

Multicentric and multifocal breast cancer were defined as the presence of 2 or more invasive tumour foci within the different quadrants of the same breast or within a same quadrant of the breast, respectively.

Clinical stage T1c
T1c is a tumor that is larger than 10 mm but 20 mm or smaller. My tumours are 10mm, 12mm and 15mm.

pN1a
N1a is when there is cancer in 1 to 3 axillary lymph nodes and at least 1 of the lymph nodes is larger than 2mm. This is called a macrometastasis. This group can include positive internal mammary lymph nodes if they are found during a sentinel lymph node procedure. When four nodes were taken for biopsy, 1 out of the 4 nodes came back effected by the cancer - 3mm deposit.

Mx
Distant spread cannot be evaluated. There is no reason to believe I have had any spread further than breast so they have not needed to do a full MRI Scan. This would only be necessary if more of my nodes were effected.
